The Soul and the Spirit are still being mistaken as one and the same by those who are on a spiritual path. But actually, they are far from being one and the same.
The Spirit constitutes the fundamental structure of a being. We were created as Spirits. We all come from one Spirit, our Divine Spirit or Highest Self.
The Soul is the structure that a Spirit receives when it incarnates.
Why does a Spirit need a Soul?
The Divine Spirit, the one we derive from, vibrates at a certain frequency. When it descends into incarnation, its frequency is slowed down considerably, in order to maintain its shape in a much inferior dimension than the one it was created in.
The incarnated Spirit permanently receives frequencies/messages from the Divine Spirit that guides it in its incarnation, in order to fulfil its mission and learn the lessons it came to master.
The Soul acts as a translator between the Divine Spirit and the incarnated Spirit. It (the soul) contains all the programs for the life the Spirit has incarnated into. The Soul modulates the high frequency of the Divine Spirit, so that it can be understood by the incarnated Spirit.
A Spirit receives a Soul when it obtains a physical body. We get a physical body in the 7th dimension, even if that body’s way of functioning is different than that of a 3rd dimensional body; it’s much more luminous, and the experiences in that body are very different than those in the 3rd dimension.
I have been asked if that with every incarnation, we receive a different Soul.
The structure of the Soul remains the same, but the life programs change. Otherwise we wouldn’t have to recover parts of the soul from previous lifetimes.
I hope this explanation makes the difference between the two structures as clear as possible.
